Dr. Wellington’s work in both clinical settings and advocacy has highlighted the importance of addressing these issues through comprehensive reform. His leadership in ANA-Illinois, for example, focuses on pushing for policies that ensure better working conditions for nurses, such as reasonable nurse-patient ratios, improved compensation, and more opportunities for continuing education and professional development.
