The pre-sale period for Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, which concluded on July 21, recorded over 1.04 million units sold in South Korea alone. This achievement set a new record for pre-orders of Samsung’s foldable devices. The phones will roll out sequentially to over 110 countries worldwide, including the U.S., U.K., and India.
Unprecedented Design and Superior Functionality with Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7
The Galaxy Z Fold7 is the thinnest and lightest in the series so far, measuring just 8.9mm when folded and 4.2mm when unfolded, weighing only 215 grams. Its 8.0-inch main display supports multitasking and immersive video viewing, while the 6.5-inch cover display with a 21:9 aspect ratio offers a smartphone experience similar to bar-type devices.
Powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Elite for Galaxy chip and optimized with One UI 8, the device enhances performance and AI capabilities, providing a smoother user experience on a large screen. The Z Flip7’s compact form fits comfortably in one hand, with a 4.1-inch cover display featuring ultra-slim 1.25mm bezels, improving portability and usability. Its foldable design allows selfies with 50-megapixel resolution and voice commands via Gemini AI, all with a 4,300mAh battery for extended use.
Samsung offers various benefits for customers purchasing these devices during August, including discounts on Galaxy Watch8 series, accessories, subscriptions to Google AI Pro and Willa, and free protective film application. Notably, over half of the buyers from the first wave of purchase were in their 30s, indicating strong popularity among younger users.
Galaxy Watch8 Series Combines Slim Design with Advanced Health Features
The Galaxy Watch8 series boasts Samsung’s slimmest and most comfortable watches yet. It is available in two models: the minimalist Galaxy Watch8 and the Galaxy Watch8 Classic, which features a physical rotating bezel and analog watch aesthetics. The series employs a “Dynamic Lug System” that improves fit and precision in health measurements.
Equipped with the new One UI 8 Watch interface, users can effortlessly access key information with minimal interaction. For the first time in the series, Gemini AI is integrated, allowing voice-activated commands. The watches have upgraded health tools, including running coaching, sleep time guidance, vascular stress measurement, and antioxidant level testing.
Samsung is offering a 20% discount coupon on genuine watch bands and accessories from July 25 to September 30. Additionally, the company is launching the “Galaxy Running Up Challenge,” encouraging users to test the running coach feature and share their experiences on SNS for rewards.
