Samsung Engineering & Construction (Samsung E&A) is set to hold the ‘Samsung E&A Tech Forum’ on June 20 at the Global Engineering Center (GEC) in Sangil-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul. The forum aims to facilitate meaningful exchanges among global energy stakeholders, sharing cutting-edge energy and innovation technologies while exploring avenues for commercialization.
This marks the second edition of the event, following last year’s inaugural forum. Approximately 500 participants, including representatives from major global energy clients such as Aramco, ExxonMobil, and Petronas, alongside key partners like Honeywell UOP, Johnson Matthey, Gidara, Nel, Carbon Clean, Baker Hughes, as well as domestic and international collaborators, are expected to attend.
Centered around the theme, “Weaving Technology Threads, Delivering Excellence,” the event will bring together experts across energy transition, green technology, innovation, and finance sectors. The forum will feature technology presentations, panel discussions, and seminars.
The program will commence with an opening speech by Samsung E&A CEO Hong Namgoong, followed by an introduction to the company’s future technological strategies under the initiatives ‘E&Able’ and ‘AHEAD.’ The main sessions are divided into ‘E&Able,’ focusing on energy transition and eco-friendly technologies, and ‘AHEAD,’ emphasizing innovation-driven solutions.
Highlights include presentations and debates by global experts on future energy technologies such as green hydrogen, carbon capture, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), discussing their development paths. Additionally, the forum will showcase Samsung E&A's differentiated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) strategies and innovations, sharing successful case studies.
A dedicated exhibition area will display the innovative solutions developed and invested in by Samsung E&A, anticipated to attract strong interest from attendees.
In line with its vision to address societal challenges through technology, Samsung E&A continues to actively expand its eco-friendly energy initiatives centered on three key strategies: Low-Carbon (E&Able Low), Zero-Carbon (E&Able Zero), and Environmental (E&Able Circle). The company is also leveraging digital transformation, automation, and AI to overcome EPC sector limitations and enhance operational competitiveness through its ‘AHEAD’ strategy.
A Samsung E&A official stated, “We hope this forum becomes a meaningful platform for advancing future energy and innovation technologies toward commercialization. With our differentiated project execution systems and core eco-friendly technologies, we aim to lead the global energy market."
