SK Oceanplant Demonstrates Leadership in Korea’s Offshore Wind Industry at 2025 Supply Chain Conference

SK Oceanplant participated in the upcoming ‘2025 Offshore Wind Supply Chain Conference and Exhibition,’ held at BEXCO in Busan on July 2-3. The event, organized by the Korean Wind Industry Association and supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Korea Energy Agency, the Korea Exhibition Industry Promotion Association, and the Busan Tourism & MICE Bureau, aims to assess the future of Korea’s domestic offshore wind sector and strengthen its global competitiveness.

With the participation of 72 leading companies from Korea and abroad, the exhibition featured 120 booths showcasing cutting-edge technologies and products. SK Oceanplant, a front-runner in offshore wind foundations, showcased its expertise through models of the new specialized production base under construction and jacket foundation structures, based on real project applications. These displays highlighted the company’s design and manufacturing prowess, emphasizing its vital role in constructng infrastructure for offshore wind farms.

On July 4, SK Oceanplant was selected as an official tour site for industry professionals and visitors. The company’s production facilities, key processes, and safety systems will be presented during a guided tour attended by domestic and international energy firms, journalists, and industry experts. This initiative aims to promote transparency and demonstrate SK Oceanplant’s advanced capabilities in the global offshore wind market.

Looking ahead, SK Oceanplant is committed to enhancing its technological capabilities and expanding production capacity to serve the growing offshore wind markets in Asia and Europe. The company plans to forge new collaborations with international partners, expand its project pipeline both domestically and overseas, and share supply chain bid information to strengthen its global network.

As a key player in Korea’s ambition to develop 14.3 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030, SK Oceanplant contributes to sustainable growth, carbon neutrality, job creation, and regional economic development through its supply of foundational structures.
