Hanwha Robotics has taken a significant step toward expanding its international footprint by participating in EXPOMAFE 2025, South America’s largest and most prominent trade show for machine tools and industrial automation.
At this event, Hanwha Robotics’ official distributor, HCR America, showcased a wide range of collaborative robot solutions suitable for various industrial applications. From May 6 to 10 in São Paulo, Brazil, the exhibition drew over 60,000 visitors and approximately 1,000 participating companies. The HCR America booth featured multiple live demonstrations of robots performing tasks such as powder coating, polishing, and welding.
One of the standout demonstrations was the Motion Tracking Solution, which enables collaborative robots to precisely follow and replicate human movements. This technology is especially valuable in industries like automotive manufacturing, where it helps improve efficiency in powder coating processes. The featured robot, the HCR-10L, boasts a maximum arm length of 1,800mm—the longest in the world for its class—and a load capacity of 10kg, making it one of the most versatile in its category.
In addition, the show highlighted the HCR-14, capable of handling up to 14kg for polishing applications, and the HCR-5A, used for welding simulations, demonstrating the robots’ high performance across tasks.
During the exhibition, Hanwha Robotics also achieved tangible results, including direct sales of its AI-powered 3D vision-based ‘Smart Machine Tending’ solutions and signing supply agreements with five local robot dealerships in Brazil.
An official from Hanwha Robotics stated, “Participating in this trade show marks the beginning of our active business expansion across South America, especially in Brazil. We aim to penetrate various industry sectors with safe, flexible robots tailored to diverse manufacturing needs.”
