On June 18, Dong-A ST announced on June 18 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Hebron Medical Center in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to support the deployment of the remote patient monitoring platform ‘Haikadi.’

The signing ceremony was attended by Dong-A ST President Jeong Jae-hoon, Meju’s Head of Business Derek, Hebron Medical Center’s Executive Director Jin Eun-kyung, and Medical Director Bae Ki-an, among other key stakeholders. The parties expressed their commitment to mutual cooperation and to advancing healthcare services in Cambodia.

Through this partnership, Dong-A ST aims to introduce the ‘Haikadi’ remote monitoring system to Cambodia, a country where healthcare infrastructure and personnel are limited. The initiative is expected to improve the working environment of medical staff, enhance healthcare access for patients, and contribute to early disease detection and increased patient survival rates.

Since 2018, Dong-A ST has been actively involved in improving Cambodia’s healthcare environment through the donation of pharmaceuticals. Last year, the company expanded its global social contribution efforts by donating the ‘Haikadi’ platform to MCM General Hospital in Ethiopia.

Under the terms of the MoU, Dong-A ST will support Hebron Medical Center with approximately 100 million won over five years for platforms such as ‘Haikadi Plus’ and ‘Lives Studio,’ which enable remote patient monitoring. The company will also conduct annual training sessions for local healthcare professionals. Additionally, Dong-A ST’s Cambodia distribution partner will participate by sponsoring beverages such as Can Bac Sac and Ora Latte every year.

Established in 2007 by Dr. Kim Woo-jeong, Hebron Medical Center originated as a free clinic and has grown into a non-profit hospital currently treating approximately 90,000 low-income patients annually. Beyond medical services, the hospital actively participates in social contribution activities through the nonprofit organization With Hebron, providing pharmaceuticals, medical devices, domestic medical consultations, talent development, and regional health improvement programs.

Jeong Jae-hoon, President of Dong-A ST, stated, “Our company’s core mission is to fulfill our social responsibility to protect lives globally. We will continue to engage in sincere social contribution efforts to reduce healthcare disparities and promote a healthier world for all.”
