Seoul, South Korea - The stage is set for the 2024 Global Conference on IPS National Competitiveness Research, to be held on 29 October at 22:00 KST. Hosted by IPSNC in collaboration with aSSIST University, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and IPS Switzerland-SDG Management School, this event promises to be an enlightening experience for participants worldwide.

A leading force in national competitiveness research for over two decades, IPSNC has consistently unveiled annual insights in partnership with UNITAR and IPS Switzerland-SDG Management School. This year's conference is bolstered by support from esteemed partners, including aSSIST University, The Washington Times, Kyung-in Broadcasting, and The Korea University News.

Highlighting competitiveness rankings for more than 60 countries and regions, IPS National Competitiveness Research distinguishes itself by employing strategies crafted by Professor Michael E. Porter: the Cost Strategy and Differentiation Strategy. In contrast to assessments by organizations like IMD and WEF, this unique approach offers fresh perspectives on global competitiveness.

This year’s conference delves into the ramifications of the U.S.-China conflict on worldwide competitiveness. It's an exceptional opportunity for scholars, business leaders, and policymakers to garner insights into strategies fostering national and sustainable growth.

Moreover, the strategies and rankings from this conference will be encapsulated in a forthcoming book, slated for publication in early November 2024. The organizers invite interested participants to join via Zoom, ensuring accessibility to these valuable discussions.

Established in 2006 under the Ministry of Economy and Finance, IPSNC carries forward the legacy of national competitiveness research initiated by the Institute for Industrial Policy Studies in 2000. Adding to their repertoire, since 2020, IPSNC has published the WURI rankings, which assess innovation in universities worldwide. Notably, the 2023 rankings featured Minerva University, Arizona State University, University of Pennsylvania, MIT, and Stanford University as the top five innovators among 423 evaluated institutions.
