Established in 2006 under the Ministry of Economy and Finance, IPSNC carries forward the legacy of national competitiveness research initiated by the Institute for Industrial Policy Studies in 2000. Notably, the 2023 rankings featured Minerva University, Arizona State University, University of Pennsylvania, MIT, and Stanford University as the top five innovators among 423 evaluated institutions.
