On April 29, SK C&C announced the successful completion of the digital platform transformation project for Innisfree Mall, Amorepacific's online store dedicated to naturalism.
The project, which spanned approximately 15 months, involved SK C&C leveraging its digital transformation (DX) technology capabilities to build a cloud-based high-performance platform, thereby creating a new digital e-commerce environment. This transformation has been recognized for achieving groundbreaking results in both customer experience and operational efficiency.
Utilizing a highly available cloud infrastructure and a microservices architecture (MSA), SK C&C established a seamless app development and deployment system, enhancing its capability to handle large traffic volumes. Additionally, the operational efficiency was significantly improved, allowing for stable service even during peak order periods, such as promotions. Furthermore, the standardization of Innisfree's enterprise systems and the establishment of cloud technology benchmarks ensured both scalability and reliability of the system.
The newly completed high-performance platform recorded a peak of 260,000 simultaneous users and a transaction processing capacity of 28,000 per second. Notably, the average webpage response time improved dramatically to just 0.74 seconds, enabling customers to enjoy a faster and smoother experience on Innisfree Mall. The platform also achieved high scores on Google’s web performance evaluation tool, Lighthouse, highlighting its excellence in web performance.
Customer service has also been significantly enhanced. The claim process was refined to allow for more intuitive partial cancellations and return requests, and search engine optimization improvements have made it easier for customers to quickly find desired products.
With this digital transformation, Innisfree Mall has actively introduced AI-based services. A notable feature is the 'AI Care' function, which analyzes customers' skin conditions to recommend personalized skincare products. Additionally, AI now analyzes customers' purchase histories and behavior data to provide personalized content, alongside a product recommendation feature based on real-time weather information, further evolving the digital shopping experience.
