Coreline Soft announced on June 24th that it has entered into a contract to supply its proprietary AI software, AVIEW COPD, to the Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) located within the Texas Medical Center (TMC) in the United States. This strategic move positions Coreline Soft to expand its North American Business to Academic (B2A) supply strategy to include not only public and private hospitals but also medical colleges and clinical research institutions.
The Texas Medical Center is the largest medical complex in the world, comprising over 60 hospitals, research institutions, and medical schools, servicing upwards of 10 million patients annually. It hosts key institutions in medical and bio-research, including the top-ranked MD Anderson Cancer Center. Additionally, global pharmaceutical giants like Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Roche have established R&D bases there. BCM is a central educational and research institution within TMC and plays a crucial role in the North American medical research ecosystem.
Through this partnership with BCM, Coreline Soft aims to provide AI products that go beyond simple imaging interpretations by enabling direct use of quantitative analysis data in clinical and academic settings. This contract marks the beginning of Coreline Soft's expansion of its B2A business in Texas.
Jinkook Kim, CEO of Coreline Soft, stated, "This agreement signifies not merely a product adoption but the establishment of a long-term collaborative model based on clinical and research foundations. We aim to strengthen connections with major research institutions in the U.S. to expand the application of AI solutions in the North American market."
The AVIEW COPD product features quantitative analysis of emphysema, automatic lesion detection, and lung function prediction indicators, making it optimized for not only clinical support but also academic research, including publications and conference presentations.
Coreline Soft maintains diverse partnerships in the U.S., including with 3DR Labs, the largest imaging post-processing company in the country, and Temple Health, a leading academic medical institution. The company has secured FDA, CE, HIPAA, and GDPR certifications, and is the first Korean medical AI company to achieve the international standard AI management system certification, ISO/IEC 42001.
