London — Quantix Capital, a UAE-based venture capital firm renowned for its commitment to innovation, has entered into a strategic partnership with TZ APAC, a Singapore-based adoption hub for the Tezos blockchain, by announcing a $1M investment geared to 28wards supporting emerging gaming projects built on the Tezos blockchain, it was announced on October 28.

Jake Seltzer, Managing Director of Quantix Capital, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We believe that the Tezos Ecosystem is uniquely positioned to support groundbreaking projects in the Web3 space. Our investment is not just financial; it’s a commitment to nurture creativity and innovation among builders who are shaping the future of gaming and interactive entertainment.”

Despite blockchain gaming's limited penetration in the mainstream market — with over 80% of gamers yet to experience it— it holds the potential to reshape relationships between players and their favourite franchises. According to OnePoll research from 2024, 52% of gamers have never heard of blockchain gaming, and 32% have yet to try it. Yet, blockchain offers solutions to persistent challenges, such as permanent item ownership and new revenue streams through play-to-earn models. This partnership will see Quantix Capital leverage its extensive resources and network to amplify the potential of projects emerging from the Tezos ecosystem, further underscoring the firm’s dedication to driving technological advancement in a rapidly changing environment.

The partnership has several key objectives with a direct focus on funding innovation. The $1M allocation will finance projects being developed on the Tezos blockchain, providing vital resources to nurture new ideas and drive technological progress. However, this collaboration extends far beyond financial backing; both Quantix Capital and TZ APAC will engage in initiatives designed to elevate their presence within the crypto community and beyond.

Commenting on the partnership, Jeremy Foo, Head of Gaming at TZ APAC,” said, “This investment drives our commitment to building a fair and open blockchain gaming ecosystem. Tezos is all about real utility and empowering both players and developers to break free from traditional industry limitations. We’re focused on long-term growth, creating sustainable value, and enabling games to succeed through genuine engagement and user ownership. The future belongs to projects that deliver tangible user benefits and not just hype, and this partnership is a further statement of intent from the Tezos ecosystem about our commitment to deliver experiences that resonate with members of our community.”

Beyond funding and marketing, Quantix Capital is committed to ensuring the long-term success of the projects it supports. The firm provides dedicated mentorship to guide selected teams through developing successful go-to-market strategies, developing compelling products, and building thriving communities. This approach aims to equip innovators with the essential tools to build long-lasting value in the blockchain sector.

Quantix Capital's and TZ APAC's partnership marks a significant step forward in fostering gaming advancements within the blockchain space. By focusing on community engagement, strategic investment, and mentorship, this collaboration will unlock new possibilities for developers and entrepreneurs alike.
