DOVER, DE - Union Labs and Lava have announced on April 8, a strategic partnership to enhance interoperability within the Web3 ecosystem. The collaboration introduces an Incentivized Public Remote Procedure Call (ipRPC) campaign, offering token rewards worth $100K to incentivize participation in the public RPC infrastructure. Through this campaign, both entities aim to foster community engagement and growth within the Union and wider interoperable ecosystems.
As part of the partnership, Lava will serve as the modular RPC and access layer connecting users to Union’s testnet. Following Union’s mainnet launch scheduled for the summer, node operators will have the opportunity to become Union RPC providers through Lava. This integration aims to streamline the process for developers by consolidating providers into a single access point. Participants in the campaign will have the chance to receive a share of the rewards pool over the three-month duration starting from the provisional launch date, with further details to be announced in Q2.
Karel Kubat, Founder and CEO of Union Labs, emphasized the alignment of Lava with Union's standards for security, speed, and reliability, highlighting the significance of speed in Web3 applications. He noted that Lava's rapid operations are crucial for smooth application functionality and real-time data updates. Kubat underscored that the partnership addresses technical considerations and contributes to enhanced user experience and ecosystem growth.
Lava functions as a modular network of RPC node operators, offering low latency and high availability access to various blockchains. Leveraging Lava's technology, relays are intelligently routed to optimize user experience based on geolocation. Together, Union and Lava prioritize cost-efficiency for the chain by rewarding node runners for their quality of service.
Yair Cleper, CEO and Co-founder at Lava, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the importance of high-performance connections and interoperability for blockchain scalability. Cleper highlighted the shared vision of Lava and Union to empower developers to build applications seamlessly across different platforms.
