Netmarble announced on May 23 that it has officially launched its new action-adventure RPG, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, in the Western markets, including North America and Europe. Developed by Netmarble Neo, the game is based on HBO’s popular series Game of Thrones Season 4.
The launch targets a wide range of global regions, including North America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East. Players can enjoy the game not only on mobile platforms via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store but also on PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, Windows Launcher, Google Stadia, NVIDIA GeForce Now, and other platforms. An announcement regarding the release in Asian regions, including Korea, is expected later this year.
In the game, players assume the role of a successor to House Targaryen and explore the vast continent of Westeros. They can freely traverse iconic locations such as King’s Landing, Castle Black, Highgarden, and The Wall, familiar from the series, and interact with major characters including Jaime Lannister, Sersay Lannister, Barristan Selmy, and Olenna Tyrell.
To celebrate the official launch, Netmarble introduced new content, including the regions of Storm’s End and The Fanged Keep, as part of ‘Chapter 3’. They also revealed new characters and boss monsters, continuing to expand the game’s content.
A Netmarble representative stated, “Since Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is based on HBO’s official license, it meticulously recreates the original world and characters, providing fans with an immersive experience.”
The game is attracting significant attention not only from Game of Thrones fans but also from gamers seeking new adventures.
