LG CNS, a leading company in enterprise AI solutions, is intensifying its efforts to recruit AI professionals across all domains this year. The company is actively hiring experienced talent for a wide range of AI-related roles to support its growth in the AI sector.
The current recruitment focuses on 11 key positions, including AI Scientist, AI Engineer, AI Architect, AI Application Developer, AI Analyst/Designer, AI Infrastructure Expert, AI Tech Consultant, AI Service Design Consultant, and Data Engineer. These roles are aimed at developing and operating customized AI solutions for industries such as finance, public sector, and manufacturing.
LG CNS emphasizes not only technical expertise but also seeking ‘AI players’—individuals capable of implementing business innovation directly in the field. To this end, the company has established an ‘AX Role and Competency Framework’ this year, which precisely defines the roles and required skills for each AX job. This framework, developed with input from specialists across different fields, focuses on how AI technology can be effectively applied on-site and will serve as the standard for practical recruitment.
For example, an AI Engineer at LG CNS is tasked with leading the development of customized AX solutions by leveraging the company’s advanced AI technologies. This includes designing AI agents, creating AI models, system integration, and performance optimization tailored to client needs.
Furthermore, LG CNS offers various programs to foster the growth of AI professionals post-hire. Since March, the company has formed a partnership with ‘Cohere,’ a global AI unicorn, to co-develop Generative AI services—marking the first such initiative in Korea. Employees participate in joint projects at Cohere’s Toronto headquarters, gaining exposure to cutting-edge technology.
The company also actively supports staff in obtaining AI-related certifications from cloud service providers such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft. Full coverage of exam fees, along with incentives and bonuses upon passing, encourages employees to enhance their expertise.
In addition, LG CNS provides targeted training programs—from fundamental AI and data theory to practical skills such as LLM application development, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) utilizing, and testing. Employees who complete these courses and meet project experience and skill assessment standards earn the ‘AX Expert’ certification.
LG CNS is also promoting ‘AI 100 in 100,’ a project encouraging all employees to proactively discover AI use cases. The initiative aims to develop 100 generative AI services within 100 days for companies struggling with AI adoption. Since launching this project in March, LG CNS has completed over 140 services in approximately 60 working days—exceeding its original goal of 100 and aiming for 500 by year's end.
The company maintains a flexible work environment and performance-based HR system. It operates 102 regional offices across Seoul and surrounding areas, supporting work from anywhere at flexible hours.
Moreover, LG CNS has implemented a skills-based evaluation system that rewards high-performing employees regardless of age or rank. This system assesses technical proficiency through exams created by internal and external IT experts and classifies employees into five levels, directly influencing salary and promotions.
With a strategic focus on recruitment and development, LG CNS plans to secure up to 1,000 AI specialists by the end of this year. An official from LG CNS stated, “As an AX-focused company, we are committed not only to hiring talented individuals but also to nurturing them. We aim to be the best in quickly demonstrating and applying AI technologies, providing an optimal environment for those eager to solve real client AX problems.”
