Netmarble announced on July 24th that it will participate in the pre-event showcase "Opening Night Live" (ONL), the premier event for Europe's largest gaming expo, Gamescom 2025, held in Cologne, Germany this August. During the event, the company will premiere a new trailer for its upcoming open-world action RPG, "Seven Deadly Sins: Origin" (developed by Netmarble F&C).
"Seven Deadly Sins: Origin" is a AAA-grade open-world action RPG based on the popular anime IP "The Seven Deadly Sins," which has surpassed 55 million copies sold worldwide. The game features the original protagonist, Tristan, son of Meliodas and Elizabeth, and centers around an original multiverse story that can only be experienced in this game.
Through this ONL stage, Netmarble will unveil, for the first time, a cinematic trailer that showcases the game's universe and action scenes. Major game-related information will also be announced as a surprise. This marks the third major stage where "Seven Deadly Sins: Origin" is officially introduced to the global audience, following its trailers at the Summer Game Fest and Future Games Show in June, which captured the attention of overseas gamers.
The game is slated for simultaneous release across console, PC, and mobile platforms. The PlayStation 5 (PS5) version will be available on the PlayStation Store, while the PC version will be accessible via Steam, a global game distribution platform. Currently, players can add the game to their wishlist on both Steam and the PlayStation Store. Content such as developer Q&As and developer notes are also being continuously updated to engage users.
Goo Do-hyung, PD of Netmarble F&C, shared via Steam’s developer notes, “We aimed to create a world where players can freely explore the continent of Britannia and deeply immerse themselves in the story. Through a multiverse narrative featuring familiar characters from the original series, we want to deliver a fresh story experience. We also introduced new combat styles that haven't been seen in previous series to highlight each character’s unique魅力.”
