Netmarble announced on August 6th that it will showcase its new game, 'Mongil: STAR DIVE', at the world's largest gaming expo, Gamescom 2025, held in Cologne, Germany, this August. The game is a multi-platform title available on both PC and mobile devices, and it is a direct sequel to the popular 'Monster Taming' series.
'Mongil: STAR DIVE' will be available for hands-on demo at Samsung Electronics' booth within the B2C exhibition area of Gamescom. Notably, visitors can experience the game using Samsung’s latest Odyssey 3D glasses-free 3D gaming monitor, released in March of this year. The Odyssey 3D utilizes eye-tracking and screen-mapping technology to support immersive 3D gameplay without the need for glasses, offering a next-generation visual experience.
For this event, Netmarble has optimized 'Mongil: STAR DIVE' for the Odyssey 3D monitor, enhancing visual fidelity through high-quality cinematics and dynamic combat scenes developed with Unreal Engine 5. Attendees at the demo zone will have the opportunity to experience intense combat action and party play features firsthand.
In addition, 'Mongil: STAR DIVE' will participate in the 'The World of PlayGalaxy' experience event held at Dock2 in Cologne from August 22 to 23, organized by Samsung Electronics. Visitors can enjoy the game on Samsung’s new Galaxy Z Fold7, the latest foldable smartphone.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 offers an 8.0-inch large screen when unfolded, with a thickness of only 4.2mm and a weight of 215g, making it the thinnest and lightest foldable device in Samsung’s series. Netmarble has optimized the game for this device, ensuring portability, ease of control, and immersive visual experience.
'Mongil: STAR DIVE' is an upcoming collectible action RPG developed by Netmarble Monster, scheduled to be released later this year. Building on the game's original universe, it promises enhanced graphics and systems for a fresh gaming experience. The game features innovative content such as real-time three-player party tag combat, monster capture, and synthesis systems.
