Hyundai Steel’s newly launched website has earned the Grand Award at the 2025 Red Dot Design Awards, marking its first entry into the renowned international design competition.
The Red Dot Design Awards, with a history spanning 70 years, are among the most prestigious global design contests, honoring outstanding products and communication designs across three categories: Product Design, Brand & Communication Design, and Design Concepts.
Hyundai Steel received the award in the Brand & Communication Design category for its official website, which was designed with a user-centric approach. The industry praised the site for its intuitive interface and immersive experience that significantly enhances accessibility across the steel industry.
The company’s new website embodies the concept of "Heavy Steel, Light Experience," reflecting Hyundai Steel’s 70-year legacy, innovation, and future vision. While maintaining the weighty presence characteristic of the steel industry, the website has been redesigned to be more user-friendly.
It features 3D graphics and a vibrant color palette to enable users to access desired information intuitively. The design also facilitates a seamless flow from product exploration to consultation and inquiries, enhancing overall user engagement.
A Hyundai Steel official stated, “We will continue to strengthen communication with our customers through diverse online channels and actively pursue brand image enhancement.”
Additionally, Hyundai Steel leverages multiple communication platforms such as the Newsroom ‘Moment,’ YouTube, and Instagram to share the latest news and technological innovations. Notably, Instagram content promoting the revitalized Dangjin Steelworks Visitor Center through the ‘Soda Pop Challenge’ garnered over 1.2 million views, further demonstrating the company’s active engagement with its audience.
