KD Navien has received the WINNER award in the product category at the German iF Design Award 2025 for its 'Navien Smart Home Wall Pad (SNP920-5BW).'
The iF Design Award is one of the world's top three design competitions, evaluating excellence in design across nine categories, including product and user interface (UI). KD Navien demonstrated its design differentiation by winning a UI award for the smart home wall pad interface last year.
The 'Navien Smart Home Wall Pad' serves as a hub for controlling various home devices, including entrance management, boilers, appliances, lighting, and security systems. It assists users by analyzing daily weather conditions and appliance usage patterns to operate necessary devices accordingly. For example, on a day with high levels of fine dust, the wall pad will display a notification to "Activate the ventilation and purification system," and when the user touches the notification, the purifier activates.
The award-winning 'Navien Smart Home Wall Pad' this year is designed under the concept of "The Gallery," providing a luxurious experience akin to art displayed in a gallery. Especially, KD Navien has focused on enhancing aesthetic elements, recognizing that wall pads often remain unused compared to other appliances.
Another highlight is the 24-inch wide screen that significantly improves user convenience. Most wall pad products feature smaller screens ranging from 10 to 13 inches while cramming in a lot of information. KD Navien’s larger screen intuitively presents various information and functions, while minimizing the thickness of the wall pad to achieve a cleaner and more sophisticated design. Additionally, the edge design applied to the corners creates an impression of a slimmer profile than its actual size.
