NCSOFT has announced the release of the final content update, Absolution, for the latest expansion of Guild Wars 2, titled Janthir Wilds, in North America and Europe.
Guild Wars 2, developed by NCSOFT's North American studio ArenaNet, is a popular PC online MMORPG. Since launching Janthir Wilds as its fifth expansion last year, ArenaNet has been delivering large-scale quarterly updates. The Absolution update serves as the concluding chapter of the expansion and follows the Repentance update revealed in March.
This update introduces new regions, dungeons, rewards, and story content. Players can explore the new area called Bava Nisos and participate in various meta-events centered around the storyline of a giant Titan invasion. Additionally, the large-scale instance dungeon Convergence, which can accommodate up to 50 players, now features a new Titan faction boss named Ura.
The fractal mini-dungeon content has been expanded with the addition of Kinfall, allowing players to experience dungeon adventures from the perspective of the Lowland Kodan race and immerse themselves in historically significant events within the Guild Wars universe.
Moreover, the housing system has received an upgrade. The decoration item limit has increased from 1,000 to 2,000 items, and the maximum proficiency level has been raised to 500, enabling players to craft new decorative items for their homes.
NCSOFT continues to support Guild Wars 2 with meaningful updates, and the Absolution patch marks the culmination of Janthir Wilds, offering players fresh challenges and immersive content.
