Hyundai Motor Company released a teaser image of the high-performance electric vehicle, IONIQ 6 N, on June 12, heralding a new market paradigm with the upcoming launch of its high-performance electric sedans.
The revealed teaser showcases the IONIQ 6 N featuring a large wing spoiler, widened fenders, and prominent body lines. Hyundai emphasized aerodynamic efficiency and dynamic agility through this design, exuding the image of a high-performance sedan with a low, wide stance.
Built around Hyundai N’s core performance philosophies—‘Cornering Rascal,’ ‘Racetrack Capability,’ and ‘Everyday Sports Car’—the IONIQ 6 N is expected to deliver nimble cornering performance and excellent durability at the limit, promising a driving experience that can be enjoyed in daily life.
Juno Park, Executive Director of Hyundai N Management Office, stated, “The IONIQ 6 N, which actively reflects the preferences of high-performance customers, will offer driving pleasure beyond the ordinary.” He added, “This new IONIQ 6 N, infused with Hyundai N’s latest technology, will set a new standard for high-performance electric sedans and redefine driving enjoyment once again.”
The IONIQ 6 N is scheduled to make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK this July and aims to present a new paradigm in the global high-performance car market.
Last year, Hyundai made headlines as the first automaker to launch the IONIQ 5 N, establishing itself as a formidable player in the global high-performance electric vehicle market. The IONIQ 5 N distinguished itself with superior driving performance and has received multiple awards, including the ‘2024 World Car Awards’ for the ‘Best Performance Car,’ as well as ‘Korea Car of the Year 2024’ and ‘China’s High-Performance Car of 2025.’
