LG Uplus announced it will showcase advanced security technologies based on Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) at Quantum Korea 2025, the largest domestic event dedicated to quantum technology, held from June 24 to 26 at the aT Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
The event provides a platform for sharing the latest trends in quantum technology and discussing its application across industries. At this year's exhibition, LG Uplus is highlighting its recent innovations, including the cloud-based integrated account management service 'AlphaKey' and the integrated security platform 'U+SASE.'
The company's exhibition booth is designed to visually represent a secure working environment adaptable to both office and remote work settings. The booth’s layout illustrates how businesses can establish trustworthy security systems capable of withstanding quantum computing threats. LG Uplus emphasizes that its solutions enable enterprises to build resilient security architectures even in a quantum era.
The display features 12 different content zones. Visitors can explore the 'AlphaKey' experience zone, where a tablet simulator allows users to experience the authentication process for both users and administrators. The booth also includes technical explanation panels, introductory videos, and quiz events to educate visitors on the technology.
A key highlight is the exhibition of five physical devices incorporating PQC technology: the U+PQC PUF USIM, U+PQC ROADM, U+PQC Router, U+PQC PTN, and U+PQC IPSec VPN. These devices are currently being deployed for actual services with corporate clients. Centrally located within the booth, the ‘PQC Network Zone’ visually demonstrates secure data flow across these devices.
AlphaKey offers a two-factor authentication app utilizing PQC algorithms and supports various multi-factor authentication methods, including FIDO, Passkeys, and easy login solutions. In corporate environments, AlphaKey can automate account management processes, from onboarding employees to blocking access for departing staff. Recently, it was adopted by CRM solution provider Business Canvas’s 'ReCatch,' earning recognition as a SaaS security enhancement example.
U+SASE is a cloud-based security platform rooted in Zero Trust architecture, integrating network, cloud, endpoint security, and security monitoring. The platform is planned to incorporate KpqC standard final candidate algorithms for network security, aligning with Korea’s PQC transition roadmap.
LG Uplus also plans to introduce its cybersecurity expansion strategies based on Cybersecurity Mesh Architecture (CSMA) and share future development roadmaps. The company aims to continually enhance U+SASE by expanding industry-specific security services, integrating AI-based security detection, and adding DevSecOps features.
Beyond PQC, LG Uplus is preparing to commercialize next-generation cryptography technologies such as Homomorphic Encryption and Zero-Knowledge Proofs, to further respond to quantum computing threats.
“Establishing a trustworthy security system in a quantum environment is key to corporate competitiveness," said an official from LG Uplus. "LG Uplus will deliver differentiated customer value through practical and highly reliable solutions like AlphaKey and U+SASE.”
