Com2uS has officially kicked off the highly anticipated eSports tournament ‘Summoners War World Arena Championship 2025 (SWC2025)’ for its popular global mobile RPG, Summoners War: Sky Arena. The tournament begins with online regional qualifiers scheduled for July 26th and 27th.
SWC is an annual global eSports event that captures the attention of Summoners War players worldwide. Each year, the competition features intense matches and community events, turning it into a worldwide festival for fans. This year’s qualifiers start in the Asia-Pacific Southeast Asia region and France.
The Southeast Asia qualifiers will take place on July 26th and 27th, starting at 1 PM (Korea Standard Time). Eight top players will compete in a double-elimination format, with matches best-of-five. On the first day, the first regional qualifier spot will be awarded, and on the second day, the loser's bracket winner will secure the second spot.
Top-tier competitors such as 2024 World Finals champion KELANBAO, Asia-Pacific Cup champion PU, and rising star MONKEYGODXCLAS are expected to deliver fierce battles. The winners will advance to the Asia-Pacific Cup finale in Busan on October 18th.
On the same day at 9 PM, the ‘Open Qualifier – France’ will take place, offering a single-elimination match that grants one player a direct ticket to the World Finals in Paris on November 1st.
The matches will follow an 8-player single-elimination format, with best-of-five series. Notable participants include France’s representative GUTSTHEBERSERK, along with promising newcomers such as FULLNATTY and SLAIX.
Alongside the tournament, a ‘SWC2025 Victory Prediction Event’ will be held within Summoners War. Players can predict match winners before each game, and participation rewards include items like the ‘SWC2025 Badge.’
This year also introduces a new point accumulation system, offering increasingly generous rewards for consistent participation from qualifiers to the finals.
Since its debut in 2017, SWC has become a successful case study in turn-based mobile eSports, reflecting Com2uS Chair Bae Song-byung’s global expansion strategy and user-focused communication philosophy.
