CGBio, a company specializing in bio-regenerative medicine and an affiliate of Daewoong Pharmaceutical, announced on May 2 that it successfully held the '2025 CGBio Academy Visiting Clinician Program (VCP) - AiLEEN, FACETEM, LUXX,' inviting medical professionals from the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
This event aimed to share the latest aesthetic procedures from South Korea, focusing on CGBio's collagen stimulator product, FACETEM, in response to the rapidly growing aesthetic surgery market in the region. The program also sought to strengthen networking with local medical professionals.
The VCP is a prominent training initiative run by CGBio, targeting global markets. It provides overseas clinicians with in-depth product understanding and practical opportunities, aiming to boost the global recognition of its products. The academy saw participation from 16 medical professionals from key Middle Eastern countries and partners from Vitateck, who engaged in a three-day immersive experience with Korean aesthetic medical technologies and clinical techniques.
The program commenced with a lecture on facial anatomy titled “Essential Anatomy of the Face with Layered Illustrations for Aesthetic Procedures,” delivered by Professor Heung-hoo Han from Ewha Medical Academy on the first day. The second day featured a presentation by Dr. Jong-seo Kim, who shared complex treatment cases using diluted CaHA for acne scar treatment and demonstrated live procedures. On the final day, Dr. Moon-seop Choi from Grace Plastic Surgery conducted a session on “Various Applications of HA Fillers and Demonstration for Lifting Thread,” sharing techniques for facial contour improvement through lectures and live demonstrations.
Throughout the program, participants experienced the latest techniques centered around FACETEM, as well as various aesthetic solutions utilizing the hyaluronic acid (HA) filler AiLEENE and the suture thread LUXX. They also visited the CGBio S-Campus production facility to observe the product manufacturing process and quality control systems firsthand.
Among the products introduced, FACETEM, a collagen stimulator made primarily from biocompatible calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), garnered significant interest for its robust durability and collagen-generating properties. AiLEENE, a HA filler made from high-purity hyaluronic acid, enhances safety and longevity, while LUXX, made from absorbable PDO (Polydioxanone), is used for non-surgical facial lifting and contour enhancement.
The Middle East is rapidly emerging as a new global market for aesthetic surgery, experiencing increased demand due to a growing affluent population and heightened interest in natural and refined facial contour improvements. This program served to bolster CGBio’s recognition and trust within the Middle Eastern market by sharing its diverse product range and procedural expertise in line with local trends.
