LS ELECTIC, in collaboration with its subsidiaries LS ITC and LS THiRA-UTECH, is set to deliver consolidated smart factory solutions by leveraging their combined expertise.
The companies announced on May 15 the launch of a dedicated smart factory platform called ‘Beyond X for Smart Factory,’ aimed at offering customer-focused integrated services.
With this new platform, LS ELECTIC plans to unify the specialized smart factory capabilities previously held individually by each company, expanding customer engagement through a centralized operational framework.
The newly launched website is designed to provide practical assistance to customers who have faced challenges navigating the complex and evolving smart factory value chain. It features core elements such as fundamental technical information, detailed solution and device introductions, industry-specific case studies, and a collaborative consulting channel.
LS ELECTIC aims to complete an ‘End-to-End’ service system that encompasses the entire smart factory process—from consulting and analysis/design to IT/OT system implementation, operation/maintenance, and data utilization. By merging hardware and software, the company seeks to enhance manufacturing competitiveness and systematically support digital transformation (DX) for its clients.
With over 1,000 smart factory projects domestically and internationally, LS ELECTIC draws on more than 50 years of expertise in power, energy, and automation to offer tailored solutions across various industries. Its Cheongju plant was recognized as a 'Global Lighthouse Factory' by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2021, reflecting its global technological leadership and innovation.
LS ITC provides essential system integration (SI) services covering IT and operational technology (OT) for smart factory implementation, while LS THiRA-UTECH offers proven competitiveness in manufacturing systems and industrial robotics.
Cho Uk-dong, Head of LS ELECTIC's Global Business Division, stated, “By integrating the technological capabilities accumulated by our subsidiaries, we plan to deliver a comprehensive smart factory solution that extends beyond automation to include power and energy. Through our End-to-End services, we will lead smart manufacturing innovation and fulfill our role as our customers’ DX partner.”
