Com2uS announced that their new idle RPG game, Summoners War: Rush, will officially launch globally on May 28. Building on the massive success of the Summoners War IP, which has amassed over 270 million downloads worldwide, the game introduces a blend of idle gameplay and tower defense elements, offering innovative strategic content.
Summoners War: Rush features a unique tower defense mode called "Sky Island Defense," where players must defend against waves of enemies and bosses across 15 core chapters, each with 12 stages. Success is measured by the number of stars earned, which influences offline rewards, encouraging players to optimize their summon placements and skills for maximum efficiency.
A key gameplay mechanic is the skill card system, inspired by roguelike elements, where players collect and upgrade cards after defeating enemies to unlock powerful skills. These skills range from slowing enemy progress to dealing massive area damage, enabling diverse strategies for each stage.
Players can actively participate in battles through support skills, which include crowd control, attack buffs, damage reduction, and stronger attacks on bosses. These skills can be used manually and strategically to adapt to various challenges.
The game also offers a competitive challenge mode that features a 25-wave time attack in a larger battlefield, tested through real-time decisions and quick reactions. Weekly seasons and leaderboards foster competitive play against global opponents.
Campaign Mode, integrated within the tower defense, narratively explores legendary summon stories via three initial stages—Wash Away Troubles and The Dream Whisper—with new campaigns added regularly.
Unlike traditional tower defense games, Rush emphasizes rapid growth through idle mechanics, allowing players to develop their 70 different summons effortlessly, even offline. Resources from daily dungeons, exploration, and other activities ensure continuous progression.
Additional PvE and PvP content include Dragon's Nest, multiplayer arenas, and territory control modes like Conquest Land and Creature War. These features provide strategic depth while accommodating players of all levels, supported by recommended lineup functions and automation.
Summoners War: Rush will be available in nine languages, including Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, French, and German, upon worldwide release on May 28.
