LG Display is set to participate in the world's largest display exhibition, 'SID 2025', where they will present their next-generation automotive display products optimized for future mobility.

'SID (Display Week)' is the premier global event where researchers and companies in the display industry gather to share cutting-edge technologies and unveil new products. This year's exhibition will take place from the 13th for three days at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, USA.

Under the theme 'Driving the Future through Innovation', LG Display plans to unveil an array of high-performance display solutions designed for future vehicle environments, varying in form and size.

A highlight of their presentation is the stretchable vehicle display, capable of extending up to 50% with a high resolution of 100 ppi and full RGB color. This display integrates seamlessly into the center console, eliminating the boundaries between displays and buttons and enhancing operational convenience while driving through a 3D projection technology activated by touch.

Additionally, LG Display will introduce innovative products like the 'Pillar to Pillar' display and a slidable OLED. Recently achieving the world's first commercialization of a 40-inch Pillar to Pillar display, LG Display will now showcase a 57-inch version, the largest single-panel display yet, which spans across the dashboard offering comprehensive information from driving data to entertainment content.

The 18-inch slidable OLED, which can be retracted into the vehicle's ceiling, unfolds only when needed, providing a new dimension in in-car entertainment with its superior OLED image quality.

These displays are optimized for vehicles, built to operate reliably even under extreme temperatures from -40°C to 85°C.

Furthermore, LG Display will present their Switchable Privacy Mode (SPM), designed to enhance safety by controlling viewing angles. This feature prevents the passenger-side display from distracting the driver by making it invisible from the driver’s view, a technology pioneered by LG Display.

Since becoming the first to commercialize tandem OLED-based vehicle displays in 2019, LG Display has strengthened its market lead with a full lineup of premium automotive displays, including P-OLED ATO (Advanced Thin OLED) and LTPS LCD.

Kwon Keuk-sang, head of LG Display’s Auto Business Group, stated, “By continuing customer-centric technological innovation in next-generation automotive displays, we aim to solidify our global leadership during SID 2025.”
