Spark, the Onchain Capital Allocator focused on optimizing risk-adjusted returns, has launched Spark Rewards, a new initiative designed to strengthen ecosystem collaboration by rewarding user participation. Spark Rewards offers weekly token rewards to users who take specified on-chain actions that contribute to the growth of the Spark ecosystem. The program serves as a foundation for collaboration and encourages deeper engagement within the DeFi community.
Many DeFi protocols operate in isolation, leading to fragmentation across the industry. Through cross-protocol collaboration, Spark is building a more interconnected DeFi space which provides users with the opportunity to earn interoperable DeFi incentives. Spark’s rewards program is designed to promote deeper industry participation and collaboration amongst projects and ecosystems, with a mission to empower DeFi advancement for the future.
The first campaign, RED Season, marks a collaboration between Spark and RedStone, a modular blockchain oracle. The collaboration integrates RedStone’s price feeds into Chronicle Aggor, Spark’s robust oracle system, alongside Chronicle and Chainlink, to strengthen resilience by having multiple oracles connected to Spark’s ecosystem. In contrast, most DeFi protocols only use one oracle provider. Additionally, as part of RED Season, users who supply cbBTC to SparkLend on Ethereum Mainnet will earn RED tokens, incentivizing user participation.
