Com2uS has unveiled eight illustrative game stills that showcase the expansive universe of their upcoming MMORPG, The Starlight. Developed by GameTales, the game is scheduled for a cross-platform release on PC and mobile devices in the third quarter of this year.
The Starlight is a blockbuster MMORPG set in a multi-dimensional fantasy universe, where heroes summoned from different worlds seek the lost realm of Starlight. The game features a compelling storyline based on a novel written by CEO Jeong Seong-hwan, providing players with a deep narrative experience. Graphics, crafted with Unreal Engine 5, promise a high-quality visual experience, complemented by large-scale PvP content.
The released concept art was first shared via the official KakaoTalk channel and YouTube community, offering a glimpse into major in-game locations and backgrounds of key events. Each image is based on actual gameplay scenes, illustrating a unique atmosphere where multiple dimensions intertwine. Players can explore diverse settings such as the ‘Lost Sanctuary,’ a former research site of wizards now overtaken by monsters, and the ‘Abandoned Base,’ a high-difficulty dungeon teeming with powerful enemies.
In the second episode’s setting, the ‘Gray Plateau,’ players encounter vast plains inhabited by nomadic Narma tribes, along with various sub-regions like the coastal area where bandits, mysterious swordmen, and ‘Wave Witch’ appear. Other featured zones include the ‘Forest of Communication,’ a mysterious area filled with remnants of ancient worship, the ‘Heart of the Kingdom,’ a zone bearing the scars of a great war, and ‘Island of Glory,’ a battleground filled with intense combat. These diverse environments combine traditional Eastern architecture with modern elements like telescopes and power lines, creating a genre-blurring map design.
The Starlight will begin pre-registration on June 10, with further details to be gradually revealed through the official website and social media channels.
