Zug Switzerland – The Hashgraph Association (THA), a leader in digital advancement based in Switzerland, has announced a strategic alliance with Blockchain for Energy (B4E), a pioneer in decentralized technological solutions for the energy sector. This cooperation is dedicated to improving transactions' efficiency, traceability, and transparency within a decentralized energy ecosystem. As a part of this partnership, THA will broaden its Hashgraph Enterprise Grant Program (HEP) to incorporate B4E's B4ECarbon. This emissions management tool employs Hedera’s distributed ledger technology (DLT) to drive change in the energy industry.
The Hashgraph Enterprise Grant Program (HEP) seeks to quicken the progression and implementation of enterprise applications on the Hedera network.
B4ECarbon introduces the energy sector’s first all-inclusive emissions management system, combining blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, and IoT systems. This decentralized AIoT framework targets the pressing demand for precise, transparent, and verifiable emissions data.
The solution delivers a sophisticated and secure digital structure for data-driven verification of ecological assertions, catering to regulatory and financial markets' needs. B4ECarbon offers sector-wide benefits for industries like Oil & Gas, Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS), and Geothermal Energy.
Utilizing Hedera’s DLT and the Guardian open-source platform, B4ECarbon establishes a safe, traceable, auditable, and efficient decentralized data transparency and management setup. The fusion of Hedera’s DLT with AIoT technologies in this platform sets a benchmark for digital measurement, reporting, and verification of emissions claims. This amalgamation enhances operational efficiency, data quality, transparency, and management, minimizing the risk of greenwashing and fraud.
B4E's key representatives include major global firms in the energy sector, such as Chevron, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, Repsol, Chesapeake Energy, Devon Energy, Schlumberger, and Innovate AI.
The inherent tokenization in B4ECarbon ensures data integrity and interoperability by aligning with frameworks set by the Interworking Alliance (IWA). B4ECarbon's team is actively involved with IWA to promote the evolution of IWA standards.
Reflecting on the significance of The Hashgraph Enterprise Program (HEP), Kamal Youssefi, President of The Hashgraph Association, expressed, “At The Hashgraph Association, we take pride in continuing to support enterprises that present innovative and compliant environmentally sustainable solutions. The B4ECarbon platform perfectly fits our Hashgraph Enterprise Grant Program and mission, offering a secure and intelligent digital framework for validating environmental assertions. This comprehensive emissions management tool serves sectors including oil and gas, geothermal, and hydrogen.”
Discussing the advantages of the collaboration, Rebecca Hofmann, Founder and President of Blockchain for Energy, remarked, “We are thrilled to collaborate with The Hashgraph Association, merging our extensive industry knowledge with THA’s significant technical prowess. Together, with Hedera DLT, we provide energy firms and leaders with a solid solution for generating high-quality, transparent, and immutable emissions-related data, eliminating risks of greenwashing, fraud, and double counting in emissions claims.”
