On July 15, Techtree Innovation announced that it, along with SK Telecom and Awesomebly, signed a "New Defense Business Agreement (MOU) for Digital Transformation of Military and Public Sectors." This strategic partnership aims to jointly identify, secure, and implement new projects in defense and public services by combining the expertise of the three companies in security technology, wireless networks, and digital twin solutions.
Under this agreement, SK Telecom will handle overall sales, wireless network deployment, and technical support. Awesomebly will focus on software development, customization, and maintenance for military security systems. Techtree Innovation will leverage its technology in building L-LVC (Live-Virtual-Constructive based on Real Terrain) platforms and MUM-T (Manned-Unmanned Teaming), leading the development and technical support of digital twin-based operational systems, as well as smart education and training programs.
The companies plan to contribute to accelerating the digital transformation of national defense and advancing smart defense capabilities by effectively utilizing their respective technologies to deliver practical solutions tailored to client needs. In addition, they aim to establish a leading collaborative model across various fields, including modernizing military communication security systems, digital training simulations, and enhancing command and control systems. Future expansion into public institutions is also under consideration.
Techtree Innovation expects that its expertise in urban planning, disaster simulation, and integrated control platforms will significantly support future public sector projects through this partnership.
Seungyup Choi, CEO of Techtree Innovation, stated, "By collaborating with companies equipped with security and technological prowess, we can facilitate practical digital innovations in the defense and public sectors. We are committed to working closely together to become a new model for future defense projects."
