Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) announced it will participate in the 55th Paris Air Show, held at Le Bourget Airport in France from June 16 to 22, showcasing its latest next-generation aerial combat systems and advanced aerospace solutions.
The Paris Air Show is recognized as one of the world’s top three aerospace exhibitions, alongside the UK’s Farnborough Air Show and Singapore Airshow. Held biennially, it is the industry’s largest global event, providing a prominent platform for aerospace and defense companies to demonstrate technological innovations. KAI has participated regularly, promoting South Korea’s aerospace industry on the international stage.
At this year’s event, KAI will display its domestic multirole fighter jet FA-50 and the next-generation KF-21 fighter, alongside a range of military aircraft and unmanned systems. Exhibits include the core components of combined manned and unmanned combat systems, such as UCAVs (Unmanned Combat Aircraft), AAP (Multirole Unmanned Aircraft), as well as helicopters like the LAH (Light Armed Helicopter), KUH (Multirole Utility Helicopter), and compact SAR satellites.
Particularly, KAI plans to highlight its advanced capabilities in AI-driven integrated ground and airborne combat systems, alongside ultra-small reconnaissance satellites, representing the forefront of 4th industrial revolution technologies. These displays aim to emphasize KAI’s cutting-edge technological expertise for future battlefield scenarios, from land to space.
The company sees this exhibition as an opportunity to explore new business ventures with global clients in the civil aircraft market, strengthen strategic collaborations with key partners, and bolster marketing efforts within Europe. These initiatives are intended to expand KAI’s long-term export portfolio.
Currently, KAI produces major aircraft fuselage and wing structures in collaboration with Airbus and Boeing, while diversifying its civil aircraft offerings through the development of new models and high-value structural components. During the show, discussions with European aerospace clients will include supply chain cooperation, joint technological development, and participation in new platforms.
Since its first entry into the European market by exporting 48 FA-50 fighters to Poland in 2022, KAI has been actively establishing its reputation for reliability and technological competitiveness. At Paris, the company will present not only the FA-50 but also next-generation combat platforms such as KF-21, LAH, and unmanned aerial systems, aiming to secure more orders across Europe.
A KAI official stated, “As South Korea’s leading aerospace defense company encompassing both military and civilian sectors, we are prepared to lead future battlefields with AI-based integrated unmanned systems and next-generation aircraft platforms. Through this Paris Air Show, we aim to reinforce the global recognition of KAI’s technological excellence and trusted brand, while expanding collaboration with civil aircraft partners for sustainable growth.”
