SK Telecom announced on July 7th that its AI service ‘A. Note,’ launched in beta version on June 30th, has surpassed 300,000 cumulative users just one week after its release.
The ‘Note’ feature of ‘A. Note’ is designed to record and summarize all situations that occur through voice in real-time. It converts speech from various scenarios such as meetings, lectures, and everyday conversations into text and summarizes the key points. Users can select from three templates—‘Key Point Summary,’ ‘Meeting Minutes,’ and ‘Lecture Notes’—to receive customized summaries tailored to their needs after recording.
Notably, ‘A. Note’ offers a real-time voice recognition feature, allowing users to check the recorded content instantly during recording. Additionally, its ‘Real-Time Summary’ function automatically summarizes the content at intervals, making it easy to find necessary information even if something was missed during the recording.
According to usage patterns announced by SK Telecom, ‘A. Note’ sees peak usage between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The service is predominantly used by professionals in their 30s and 40s, accounting for half of all users. This trend reflects the demand among working professionals in that age group to quickly review meeting contents.
Furthermore, ‘A. Note’ is used predominantly via the mobile app (80%) on Android and iOS, with 20% of users accessing it through PC web, indicating high utilization in mobile environments.
User feedback has been positive. One user commented, “It’s very convenient—no more the trouble of taking notes during meetings. I can just share the automatically summarized ‘Meeting’ template results with my team.” Another said, “During interview practice, I can check my tone and responses in real-time, which greatly helps me review and improve my answers.”
Users are also hoping for additional features such as increased template options, support for foreign languages, and extended recording durations. In response, SK Telecom plans to incorporate this feedback and launch the official version in the second half of the year, enhancing user convenience.
A SK Telecom spokesperson stated, “As the culture of automatically summarizing meeting and lecture content with AI continues to grow, ‘A. Note’ is expected to play a key role. We will continue to release AI services that provide practical value for users.”
