San Francisco, August 5 — PrismaX, a robotics startup building the infrastructure to bridge robotics and mainstream adoption, announced yesterday the launch of its teleoperations (tele-op) platform.

Since emerging from stealth mode in June this year following the announcement of an $11M funding round—led by a $7M investment from a16z via its CSX arm—PrismaX has been developing its tele-op platform. At launch, the platform will allow users to log in and remotely operate a robotic arm. In the future, the tele-op platform will enable access to the Unitree G1, Ubtech Walker, Pollen Robotics Reachy 2, K-Scale Labs K-Bot, Boardwalk Robotics Alex, Enchanted Tools Mirokai, MIT Mini-Cheetah, and Unitree Go2-W.

Announcing the launch of the platform, PrismaX co-founder and CEO, Bayley Wang shared, “The launch of our tele-op platform is the first step towards mainstream adoption. It is a proof of concept for a future where humans and robots will work hand-in-hand to amplify human capacity. The long-term platform value is designed to serve as the basis of an extensive future labor market.”

The announcement was made in a keynote address by Bayley at the inaugural RoboCon by PrismaX event. The event brought together the brightest minds across blockchain and AI for agenda-setting conversations featuring industry leaders such as the Ethereum Foundation, Blockchain Builders, Vana, Volt Capital, and more.

The PrismaX roadmap has been developed to evolve alongside the robotics industry. The short-term focus will be on tele-op and visual data for model training. Currently, robotics adoption is not widespread, and teleoperators lack experience, but robotic companies need cost-effective visual data collection.

In the mid-term, as robots increasingly become more autonomous, teleoperators will operate fleets to complete real tasks for real customers. Early-stage teleoperators will be more experienced and competitive in the real-world labor marketplaces.

Long-term, robots will achieve high degrees of autonomy based on the foundational models that materialized in the short and mid-term. The PrismaX network will shift towards providing production-level services for millions of robots with a focus on cost and efficiency.

In PrismaX's data-model-tele-op flywheel, more robots generate valuable datasets, enhancing AI intelligence, which improves robot productivity and viability. This innovative self-reinforcing cycle of improvement will eventually accelerate the full automation of robots, serving the future of human society.
