KCC announced on August 13 that it is leading the market by providing comprehensive coating solutions through its strategic partnership with global manufacturer of painting equipment, Graco.
The total solution, launched for the first time last year, combines KCC’s polyurethane paints for floors and waterproofing with Graco’s urethane coating equipment, offering a one-stop service. Headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Graco is a leading manufacturer of coating machinery, with a presence in over 100 countries and more than 30,000 dealers worldwide.
Leveraging this collaboration, KCC has been refining its polyurethane coatings, including flagship products like “HyperUreah,” to optimize compatibility with Graco’s equipment. This has resulted in improved coating quality and reduced equipment failure rates, garnering positive feedback from customers. Looking ahead, KCC is exploring the application of the total solution to various types of coatings, customizing equipment for coatings that require specialized devices to enhance installation stability and establish a competitive edge in the market.
In addition, to ensure rapid response in case of equipment failures—an aspect highly valued by customers—KCC and Graco are jointly enhancing the onsite capabilities of KCC’s coating staff. On August 12, around 40 KCC coating professionals received advanced training on polyurethane coating equipment, covering topics such as equipment structure, common failure cases, maintenance, and practical exercises, empowering them with field-ready knowledge.
Furthermore, KCC is actively promoting this innovative solution as a means to boost distributor sales by sharing its advantages and success stories. Feedback from distributors has been very positive. For example, a distributor in Changwon, Gyeongnam Province, reported a 180% increase in sales from May to July after adopting KCC’s polyurethane coatings and Graco’s equipment earlier this year.
